Privacy Policy

Purpose

Little Girl Project collects limited data through three interactive features: the Voices page (anonymous survivor quotes), the Take Part page (anonymous questionnaire), and the Volunteer page (volunteer applications). The Voices and Take Part data is anonymous and used solely for advocacy research and community support. The Volunteer page is the only feature where we collect contact details, and only to process your application.

What we collect

  • Voices: your submitted text and selected language. Nothing else.
  • Questionnaire: your two text responses, selected language, and optionally age range and country.
  • Volunteer applications: your name, email, and the details you enter (location, languages, areas of interest, availability, links, and message). This is the only feature that collects personal contact data, and only to review and respond to your application.
  • Rate limiting: a cryptographic hash of your IP address (HMAC-SHA256 with a server-side secret rotated daily). The original IP is never stored.

What we do not collect

  • No cookies (no analytics, no tracking)
  • No names, email addresses, or personal identifiers from the Voices or Take Part features (those are fully anonymous). Contact details are only collected when you choose to submit a volunteer application.
  • No raw IP addresses stored
  • No analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts (Google Fonts loaded for typography only)

Data retention

  • Rate limit hashes: automatically deleted after 24 hours.
  • Pending quotes: deleted after 30 days if not approved.
  • Approved quotes: published indefinitely (removable on request).
  • Questionnaire responses: retained for 12 months, then deleted.
  • Volunteer applications: retained while we consider your application and, if you join, for the duration of your involvement. Applications that do not lead to onboarding are deleted within 12 months. You can request deletion at any time.

Moderation policy (Voices)

All submissions are reviewed before publication. We reject submissions that contain:

  • Names or identifiable information
  • Graphic descriptions of abuse
  • Contact information
  • Active allegations against named individuals
  • Self-harm or suicide content (we will direct to crisis resources instead)

Your rights

You may request removal of any published quote or questionnaire response at any time. Since those submissions are anonymous, identify your submission by quoting its text. If you submitted a volunteer application, you may request access to or deletion of your data, and withdraw your consent, by emailing us from the address you applied with. Legal basis

Processing is based on explicit consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and Article 9(2)(a) for special category data relating to sexual abuse experiences). The consent checkbox on each form constitutes your explicit agreement. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

Hosting and infrastructure

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (global CDN). When interactive features launch, submission data will be stored in Cloudflare D1 (SQLite). Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to infrastructure-level logs that we do not control or access. Google Fonts are loaded from Google servers for typography (no cookies set).
